Shane to star in upcoming feature film Surviving Georgia

Just announced Shane is set to star alongside Pia Miranda, Holly Valance, Caroline O’Connor and Spencer McLaren in Surviving Georgia, Directed by Sandra Sciberras and Kate Whitbread (Caterpillar Wish) and Produced by Kate Whitbread and Spencer McLaren . Filming will commence end of November in the beautiful country town of Warburton, Victoria. Surviving Georgia is a heart warming romantic comedy about family and finding your own identity in the world. Heidi and Rose must find love but in doing so, must first reconcile with their feisty gambling alcoholic mother. Due for release 2010.

Mirabel Foundation

Shane is the patron of The Mirabel Foundation, it was established in 1998 to assist children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to parental illicit drug use and are now in the care of extended family (kinship care). Mirabel believes that every child deserves a childhood and its mission is to break the destructive cycle of addiction.

Founded in 1928 with just one aircraft, one doctor and one pilot in Queensland, the Royal Flying Doctor Service has become an essential emergency medical and preventative health care organisation servicing vast rural and remote areas across Australia.
