Mirabel Racing Day
Thursday, January 27th, 2011As many of you know I am a patron of The Mirabel Foundation, an amazing charity that helps children who are left orphaned or abandoned as a result of elicit drug use by their parents. Recently I took Richard East, whom is a wonderful supporter of The Mirabel Foundation as well as the man who paid the highest bid at a fundraiser, to spend a day with me at Calder Park Raceway – it was a day of thrills with no spills.
Fastrack Racing run days at Calder where you can have a drive in V8 race car and also get to be a passenger whilst being taken on some hot laps by a racing driver, and Richard was lucky enough to have Nathan Pretty, a very well respected racing driver in Australia, to be his . Fastrack Racing and The Picture Framing Centre in Surrey Hills sponsored the day and Graham Crawford, who was a Nascar Driver, took Richard for a special drive in one of the old Nascars that is locked away in one of their garages. Then myself and Richard did some hot laps on the Thunderdome in a FPV V8 supplied by Dave Pitman at Pitman Trucks.
