Charlie & Boots Update

Charlie & Boots (directed by Dean Murphy – Strange Bedfellows) is a funny and heartfelt movie with wonderful Australian characters. Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) plays Charlie McFarland and Shane plays his estranged son, Boots. After a family tragedy Charlie and Boots try and put their differences aside and head off on the road trip of a lifetime.

Shane will commence a promotional tour with Paul Hogan on Friday 14th of August. Together they will travel to Warrnambool, Melbourne, Sydney, Tamworth, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Then Shane will continue to travel to Cairns, Adelaide and Perth. The film officially opens in cinemas on September 3. For more details check out www.charlieandboots.com

Shane to star alongside as Golden Globe winner Paul Hogan as father and son in a new Australian movie – Charlie & Boots.

Charlie & Boots (directed by Dean Murphy – Strange Bedfellows) is a funny and heartfelt movie with wonderful Australian characters. Paul Hogan plays Charlie McFarland and Shane plays his estranged son, Boots. After a family tragedy, Charlie and Boots try and put their differences aside and head off on the road trip of a lifetime – from regional Victoria to the Cape York Peninsula they overcome many challenges to reach their dream – to fish off the northern most tip of Australia.

Charlie & Boots is an Instinct Entertainment production that will commence filming on November 3rd, 2008 and is set for a nationwide cinema release through Paramount Pictures/Transmission Films in 2009.

Guys N Dolls – Sydney Season

Mirabel Foundation

Shane is the patron of The Mirabel Foundation, it was established in 1998 to assist children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to parental illicit drug use and are now in the care of extended family (kinship care). Mirabel believes that every child deserves a childhood and its mission is to break the destructive cycle of addiction.

Royal Flying Doctor Service

Founded in 1928 with just one aircraft, one doctor and one pilot in Queensland, the Royal Flying Doctor Service has become an essential emergency medical and preventative health care organisation servicing vast rural and remote areas across Australia. People living, working and travelling in the bush can't always access mainstream health services or emergency care, so the Flying Doctor is there to help.

In October 2009 Shane was proud to help launch the new Rio Tinto 'Life Flight' jet which was purchased by RFDS Western Operations with the help of a $5 million sponsorship.
