December 16th, 2009As reported by Herald Sun 15th December – The Melbourne Theatre Company’s first-up offering for 2010 is a hit. The star-studded Broadway success The Drowsy Chaperone set a new company box-office record when ticket sales reached $110,000 last Monday, bringing to 18,000 the total number of tickets sold for the season from January 18-February 20. The MTC production stars Geoffrey Rush, Robyn Nevin, Shane Jacobson and Rhonda Burchmore. For tickets go to www.mtc.com.au

November 12th, 2009The Jacobson brothers will launch their groundbreaking new comedy series, Mordy Koots on December 2nd. A special screening will be held at Cinema Nova’s Novadose followed by a Q&A with creator Clayton Jacobson and Producer Jim Shomos on December 9. The 10×4 minute series will be available to watch free on ninemsn.
Shane to star in upcoming feature film Surviving Georgia
November 9th, 2009Just announced Shane is set to star alongside Pia Miranda, Holly Valance, Caroline O’Connor and Spencer McLaren in Surviving Georgia, Directed by Sandra Sciberras and Kate Whitbread (Caterpillar Wish) and Produced by Kate Whitbread and Spencer McLaren . Filming will commence end of November in the beautiful country town of Warburton, Victoria. Surviving Georgia is a heart warming romantic comedy about family and finding your own identity in the world. Heidi and Rose must find love but in doing so, must first reconcile with their feisty gambling alcoholic mother. Due for release 2010.

Rio Tinto ‘Life Flight’ jet

Shane Jacobson recently launched the new Rio Tinto ‘Life Flight’jet which was purchased by RFDS Western Operations with the help of a $5 million sponsorship by Rio Tinto. The jet service will provide a fast response service and first-class medical care to seriously ill patients in need of evacuation to hospital when time and distance are critical.
In the photo you will see the new Rio Tinto Lifeflight Jet behind Shane with RFDS Medical Director Steve Langford and Pilot Steve Young.
